The basic text of Ayurveda and the Sanskrit commentaries is organized in a manner to tell us: what the nature is, where it is, what it is doing at the point it is, what to do about it, what to do to change what is not right, what to do to rectify what is not right, and why we should spend our time doing what is right not what is wrong. The first chapter of the text gives the rules of the universe and the physical existence. The second chapter tells us how our mind or intelligence perceives the external world and what we are. The next chapter, the second and the most significant chapter of the text is called karma, the subtle law of cause and effect. This chapter presents the philosophy of Ayurveda and tells us why we are put in a particular type of body and how Ayurveda is able to change our bodies to be that way. The following chapter explains the scientific method by which we can arrive at the truth about the nature of things. This chapter also gives us the most important aspect of Ayurveda, the science of medicine. The fourth chapter of the text tells us the first three limbs of Ayurveda/Vaidya Shastra, how to speak, breathe, walk, sit, lie, sexual act and how to give a child. The fifth chapter gives us the summary of Ayurveda, the discipline, and the logic behind the science of medicine. This chapter also explains how to cultivate the mind and how Ayurveda is to make people perform natural acts and not unnatural act (VIKSHANAS). The final chapter of the text proves and shows the validity of Ayurveda. How Ayurveda is being proved by modern scientific methods.
The book shows curiosity neither for the Sanskrit language nor for the traditional medical science. It is stated that the medical science is the result of reasoning, not experience. For this reason, the medical science is called ARTISANAL a nonsense. The book advocates the theory of Greek physician Democritus and the theory of Persian medicine; that is, the idea of spontaneous generation of an internal and external human nature that later resulted in the study of medicine. 7211a4ac4a
