Warsword Conquest Troop Tree

I know there is talk about them making the old version of the tree available in the mod. I hope they do. It's the only mod I think I'd be willing to pay for a version that I had played before. Would be nice to know what changes they have made as they are obviously still in dev and would like to see the result of their work. Also, I'd like to think that I might be part of the last generation of Troop players before they're replaced by something better, but it's hard to tell.
Floris has come a long way. I was a little concerned when I first saw the video of how big of a change it would be to go from the previous version. But it is a big improvement.Floris is a very pretty mod. It's easy to use and is simple to figure out. I am a huge fan of the tree's. It's very nice and easy to navigate. The troop trees have many different troop types and you can easily see the advantages of the troops you are using. It's easy to see what troops are the best at certain tasks. The faction power is really easy to use and it's easy to see how much you have.
I like that you can now see your own faction's troop count, and I'm curious how you will be able to track them, especially if you play on a server with a lot of players. I'm sure they will have counter-measures but I'm curious what those will be.
Floris lets you use native troop trees which is rather nice. When it comes to mods that change the troop trees my experience is that they tend to disturb both faction power balance and bit of the lore. I had a brief look at Silverstag and it looks too interesting to pass though. It's amazing. I think the changes they have made between now and the last version I played are immense. In an older version troops couldn't 'level', but they have changed it that while they remain the same troop they do gain experience and improve.
I'm happy to say that it seems they've planned out some new troop buffs this time and there is a new troop tree that will be released with the expansion. This is one of those mods I'm afraid to get involved with, but it's a lot of fun.
For instance, the two most powerful troops available are two Light Infantry - the jackal and jackal lord. The jackal is a melee troop but the jackal lord is a tank and the two buffs it gives are both buffs for melee units. The jackal lord also gives a variant of the troop's base buff which is faster to recharge. 827ec27edc
