Tutu (Ali Zafar) and Dev Dharma (Ranveer Singh) are two orphans who were raised by a local gangster Bhaiyaji (Govinda) to be assassins. Their life takes a turn when they meet Disha (Parineeti Chopra) at a club and she and Dev fall in love with each other. Dev's indifference towards work starts irritating Bhaiyaji, but Tutu defends Dev. When Dev is unable to kill one of their targets, he decides to change his life. This enrages Bhaiyaji and he threatens to kill Dev. Tutu intervenes and suggests Dev lookout for a job but should accompany him every time Bhaiyaji calls them to give killing contracts.
Tutu gets Dev a fake MBA degree which helps Dev join an insurance company. Dev and Disha make plans to get married, while Disha is unaware of Dev's past. Bhaiyaji on learning the truth about Dev's job decides to play a trick to get him back. He sends one of his goons, Batuk, to kill Dev and informs Tutu. He also calls up Disha and tells her about Dev and Tutu's real identity. Just when Batuk is about to kill Dev, Tutu shoots him down in front of Disha. Disha is shocked with the reality and breaks up with Dev. This results in Dev again becoming an assassin.
Bhaiyaji gives them a fresh contract to kill his arch-enemy Baban Pehlwan. Dev and Tutu record a video telling the tale of how they became gangsters and send it to Disha. During a shootout, Dev is again unable to fire the gun and gets shot. Tutu takes him to the hospital, where after an operation, Dev finds Disha waiting for him and they both reconcile. Bhaiyaji gets killed by Baban Pehlwan. Dev and Disha get married while Tutu has a job interview in the same insurance company with a fake MBA degree.
Early on in February 2014, many shots of the movie were taken in Greater Noida's Gautam Buddha University and Galgotias Campus One[7][8] and at The Grand Venice Mall. Ali, Ranveer Singh and Govinda share the dance floor in the movie.[9] Through March the film was shot at various locations in Delhi.[10] Later in April 2014, a schedule of the film with leads Ali Zafar, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra was shot at Lavasa And (Kharghar) Mumbai in Maharashtra.[11][12]
Sukanya Verma of Rediff said "It has random songs, birdbrained logic and a romance that's about as exciting as toothpaste."[14] Saibal Chaterjee from NDTV gave the film 2 stars and said "Watch Kill Dil if you have plenty of time to kill. It is unlikely to deliver much joy to your dil, though."[15] Koimoi gave 2 stars and said the film has bad writing and poor direction.[16] DNA said that it fails to connect with audiences and gave 2 stars, while praising Govinda's performance.[17]

Not the case here by far.Sammy is a half french/tunisian Jewish (not very religious) killer for hire working for the Jewish/London maffia (or something like that); but aside for his killing skills he is a complete disaster. Drugs, alcohol, gambling and pretty much having sex with everything that moves; includes his boss daughter. In one of his very stupid acts, he steal a few ECSTASY pills from his boss and gives to his boss daughter, killing her. He is obviously marked for death so he runs away, for a job, to Denmark where he some trouble adapting; specially with his local liaison Claes (Søren Poppel excellent and stoic) .After another stupid act; product of being drunk and his Sammy's difficulties for following directives, he and Claes are offered a very lucrative series of jobs so the killing spree gets bigger and character becomes more morally corrupted than before. To make matters worse, Sammy start having an affair with Claes wife; the very beautiful and sexy Mette (Silja Eriksen Jensen a really great actress).The story unfolds more than a drama than an action film even when there are many killings and some of them violent but never too bloody.Most of the characters are perfectly defined and even when you might notice some budget constraints; the movie is perfectly made and directed.At the end, some things about life came up and male friendship stay above allIn brief; do not expect any moral values. There are no innocent or redeemable characters but acting and structure made the movie quite good
The protagonist uses drugs, kills for a living, has sex with as many women as he can (and at least one man) but in the end , rides off into the sunset with "the girl" ( at least one of them) and his partner in crime ( whose wife he also had sex with). Hey, gratuitous sex and violence are now such a part if television, that i was not affected by any of the sex or murders. That's on me. I watched with interest, because the characters were interesting, and the action swift. I like happy endings and didn't see this one coming. My rating was above the average, because i found the story entertaining and the characters close enough to believable. If you like action movies and don't mind a little sex this is more than a passable foreign version.
